PoeML (Poetry Markup Language) is a Project for an international encoding language, suitable expecially for poetic texts. It is written at the moment for most important european languages. PoeML was first presented at the International Conference "Littérature et Questionnement du Littéraire", held in Paris from15th to 16th of november 2005. Based on the TEI-XML standard, it aims to go in deep with tag description of the poetical language's elements, in order to improve the analysis and querying of the texts online.
The project, in cohoperation with Fabio Vitali, Profesor of Informatic at the University of Bologna, is part of the study and research actiivities of the DESE - Doctorat d'Etudes Supérieures Européennes.
